Liverpool (2-3-5): Cliff Kirk; Jones, Charles Kneale; H.A. Edwards, Norman Low, Fred Rogers; Harold Barton, Ronnie Westcott, Tom Bush, Deacon, Lane Carr.
The goals: 0-1 Barton, 0-2 Bush, 1-2 Alderson, 2-2 Alderson, 2-3 Carr, 2-4 Carr, 3-4 Charles.
Barton and Bush scored for the visitors in the first half and Alderson reduced the arrears. In the second half Alderson equalised but Carr scored two goals to put the visitors ahead again. Charles scored the last goal of the match.
Profiting by defensive errors Liverpool scored four goals in the Northern Mid-Week League match at Turf Moor yesterday afternoon and won. The game had added interest in consequence of the home debut of the West Indies player, Charles, at inside right.
