Morton lose McRorie

Friday, January 5 – 1934
Morton are not to have the services of McRorie, their former outside right, who played for them against Dundee United at Cappielow Park on Monday. Dan has returned to Liverpool to take up an appointment with an insurance firm.

When Morton opened negotiations with McRorie last week in an effort to bring him back he expressed his willingness to return til Greenock, but stated that he had been trying for some time to get a job with a Liverpool insurance firm.

On Friday he had an interview with the Liverpool firm and obtained the position, but he agreed to turn out for Morton on New Year’s Day.
