A forward, 20 years’ old, who has developed from third team to First Division class in a little over 12 months, will get his first opportunity in League football on Saturday.
He is Robert Glassey, who has been selected by Liverpool to play at inside left in the match with Preston North End at Anfield.
Since joining Liverpool from Washington Colliery in March, 1934, Glassey has improved rapidly, and has been knocking on the door of the first team for some time.
Glassey’s inclusion involves Gordon Hodgson moving from inside left to inside right to the exclusion of Vic Wright.
