Key note: “Mercurial Liverpool! Just when they were expected to win they lose to Chelsea who, however, showed excellent form at Anfield, where Liverpool found the run of the ball against them. Liverpool undoubtedly missed the dominating force of Tom Bradshaw despite Low’s fine endeavour. The Liverpool club were unfortunate in that for the second Saturday in succession the visitation of fog had a marked effect upon the gate. Twenty minutes before the start the fog was very thick, but when the game started it had lifted a shade.” (Liverpool Echo: December 28, 1935)
