A gale wrought havoc at Anfield

The gale last night wrought havoc with shipping and property on various parts of the coast. A large stand covering the Anfield end of the Liverpool Football Ground was blown away and fell into Anfield Road, a main thoroughfare. The road had to be closed to traffic.
