Every club in the Football League sent wreaths to the funeral at Liverpool on yesterday of Mr. John McKenna, who was buried within a stone’s throw of the ground of the Liverpool F.C., of which he was a founder.
Mr.McKenna, president of the League for 26 years, and a vice-president of the F.A. since 1928, died on Sunday, aged 81.
The mourners included 400 representatives of the football world, and players of the Liverpool and Everton clubs acted as pall bearers. Among the wreaths were tributes from the football associations of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France, and Germany.
