A little storm was brewing at Roker Park in the training quarters, but someone has seen the red light and now everything in the garden is lovely again.
It was rather an amazing thing for any director to advocate the appointment of another man to massage the players, especially when the experience and qualifications of the person suggested was a long way short of the two trainers. However, the proposed appointment is not to be even suggested and it probably saves a split in the opinions in the board-room as well as in the training quarters. When it comes to massage Billy Dunlop is recognized by the medical profession in Sunderland as one of the best in the district.
