Leeds United have signed Gordon Hodgson, the Aston Villa forward. Gordon Hodgson, who is a South African, joined the Villa last season from Liverpool. He will assist Leeds United the re-arranged League match with Everton at Goodison Park to-morrow.
Last year he was professional at Forthill for Forfarshire Cricket Club.
Hodgson joined Liverpool in 1924 when he came to England with a team of South African Amateurs, and during ten years with the Anfield club he scored 207 goals, and was capped against Scotland, Ireland, and Wales in 1931.
