Liverpool F.C. expect to secure the transfer in a few days of W. Hood, the Cliftonville and Irish amateur international full back. It is understood that representatives of the Liverpool Club are to journey to Belfast over the week-end, formally to settle the transfer.
Hood, who has been much sought after by many clubs in recent weeks, played for Ireland against England this summer.
