As intimated by the “Mail” on Saturday, Jack Pears, the Tigers’ outside left, has left the Anlaby-road club. During the weekend he joined his eight Football League club since he first played in his native city of Liverpool in 1927-28 by signing for Rochdale. His other clubs were Rotherham United, Accrington Stanley, Oldham Athletic, Sheffield United, Swansea Town, and Hull City. He joined Hull last season and played in 28 Northern Section matches.
