Liverpool “A”, who visited Lancaster County Mental Hospital on Saturday, were unfortunate in the first 20 minutes of the game by losing Ray Lambert, their right half, who received a suspected fracture of the ankle in a collision with Guy. They were unfortunate to lose owing to this handicap, but nevertheless, Robertson, at centre half, Pinnington, on the left wing, and Ambler, the goalkeeper on trial from Newcastle played well. Shuttleworth (2, one penalty), Howell, and Stephenson scored for Lancaster, and Pinnington, Robertson, and Haines scored Liverpool’s goals.
