Jack Balmer, the Liverpool club’s inside left is coming into his own. His luck in shooting seems to have changed and in his last 3 matches (2 Cup ties), he has recorded doubles. Altogether he has now obtained 11 goals in 27 matches, his doubles having been scored against Luton Town (Cup), Charlton Athletic, Stockport County (Cup), and singles v. Leeds, Aston Villa, Huddersfield, Chelsea, and Preston.
Balmer was formerly with Everton as an amateur before joining the Anfield club for whom he signed professional in September, 1933 and made his League debut v. Leeds United two years later.
