Liverpool F.C. last night signed Eric Mansley, the Chester F.C. goalkeeper and nephew of the well-known Chester F.C. director, Mr. Harry Mansley.
Eric Mansley has been with the Chester club for several seasons, and this is not the first time that Liverpool have considered taking this tall, lithe, capable young man. Since Alf Hobson went to Chester, Liverpool have been “shy” of a last liner, and doubtless Mansley will come in very useful for the Anfield club.
He has played on a number of occasions for the Chester first team, but has been in the reserve side for some time now.
