Liverpool will sign new half-back
Liverpool are to sign on Bob Paisley, the left-half back of Bishop Auckland – winners of the FA Amateur Cup this season – at the weekend. The club have been in touch with Bishop Auckland, and all arrangements have been made.
“We have put everything in order so far as the player and club are concerned,” said Mr. George Kay, Liverpool’s manager, to me today, “and I shall be going north at the weekend to complete the deal.” Paisley cannot be signed until after the season.
Laurence Wensley, the Bishop Auckland inside forward, will sign for Sunderland.

Liverpool FC are likely to sign Bob Paisley, left half back of the Bishop Auckland Club, winners of the Amateur Cup, as soon as the season ends. Liverpool have been in touch with the North-Eastern club, and everything is arranged, but the deal cannot be carried through until the last Saturday of the season, as the player is on a form which makes him a Bishop Auckland player until that date.
