Liverpool Cup Final

Saturday, May 6 – 1939
In the Liverpool Senior Cup final at Anfield, Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers will provide a keen tussle for the trophy. Although Rovers have had a most disappointing season they will be all out on this occasion to test a strong side. The kick-off is at 3.15 and the teams are: –

Liverpool – Eric Manley, Keith Peters, Bernard Ramsden, Stan Eastham, Jack Easdale, John Browning, Ron Jones, Cyril Done, John Shafto, George Paterson, Bill Kinghorn.
Tranmere Rovers – Norman Lewis, Alf Obrey, Arthur Owens, Ernie Davies, Edgar Walkden, Alf Day, Gillie Alldis, Stan Docking, Jack Kearns, Abe Rosenthal, John Griffiths.
