St. Alexander’s R.C. School, by defeating Roscoe Senior School 3-2 at Anfield, last night, won the city schools championship, together with a cup presented by the senior Lancashire F.A. The winners had the better of play after being 2-1 down at the interval, Molloy and Todd adding to Hanratty’s first half goal.
Williams and Hughes were the Roscoe scorers. Roscoe played well until they took their 2-1 lead, and then seemed to slacken off, and St. Alexander’s made no mistake with their second half chances.
