Liverpool are making an effort to solve the problem about the distribution of FA Cup final tickets. Any supporter who can produce 18 programmes of first team matches is guaranteed a final ticket if Liverpool appear at Wembley.
There is a lot of “if” about it, but the scheme must be admired because it is a genuine effort to deal with a vexed question.
But … if every regular supporter of the club does collect his programmes and Liverpool do get t Wembley the guarantee would be broken, because Liverpool would not have sufficient tickets to go around!
Liverpool officials and players are at Grange-over-Sands today for the annual outing.
