Although the Liverpool Football Club has been informed that their players who joined the Territorial Army have received notice that they are called up from to-day, this will not interfere with the match due to be played this evening against Middlesbrough at Anfield, and the team which did duty on Saturday will turn out.
In regard to subsequent matches, everything, of course, depends on the international situation. The kick-off this evening is at 6.30. Middlesbrough will be without Benny Yorston. He was taken ill during the game against Aston Villa. Camsell is to play at inside left with Fenton at centre forward. The teams are: –
Liverpool. – Dirk Kemp, Jim Harley, Bernard Ramsden, Matt Busby, Tom Bush, James McInnes, Berry Nieuwenhuys, Phil Taylor, Willie Fagan, Jack Balmer, Herman Van den Berg.
Middlesbrough. – Dave Cumming, George Laking, Bobby Stuart, Duncan McKenzie, Bob Baxter, William Forrest, Jackie Milne, Wilf Mannion, Micky Fenton, George Camsell, Cliff Chadwick.
