League clubs want 10,000 crowd limit

October 2, 1939
Neither Everton nor Liverpool have arranged any matches for October 14. They are waiting to know if the regional fare will open on that day. Liverp9ol had made a tentative arrangement to visit Preston North End, but this has not been confirmed. On Saturday, of course, the clubs will be in opposition at Anfield.

I understand that a big effort is to be made to get the attendances maximum increased to 10,000 spectators for the competition games.
