The first wartime professional signing has been made by Liverpool Football Club. They have signed a professional Eddie Spicer, former English international schoolboy, who did so well in the Liverpool city team.
Spicer was 17 last month. He went to Liverpool two years ago and fulfilled early promise. Spicer is also an accomplished cricketer and is on the ground staff at Aigburth.
