Eric Mansley, the young goalkeeper whom Liverpool secured from Chester last season, makes his first appearance in Liverpool’s first team on Saturday. He plays against Bolton Wanderers at Burnden Park in the Lancashire Senior Cup-tie.
With Arthur Riley playing in the Goodison Park international, Mansley gets his chance. Dirk Kemp is not available at the moment.
One other change is made. This is the inclusion of Stan Eastham at right half in place of Easdale. Last Saturday Eastham played splendidly for New Brighton against Everton.
Liverpool: Eric Mansley, Jim Harley, Bernard Ramsden, Stan Eastham, Tom Bush, Jimmy McInnes, Berry Nieuwenhuys, Phil Taylor, Willie Fagan, Jack Balmer, Herman Van Den Berg.
