Liverpool team changes for Stoke


December 6, 1939
Liverpool are forced to make one change for their match against Stoke City at Stoke on Saturday. George Paterson will be at inside-left in place of international Jack Balmer, who is ill and in hospital for treatment.  Jim Harley, Liverpool’s Scottish full-back has joined the Royal Navy.

Liverpool: Arthur Riley, Tommy Cooper, Jack Tennant, Matt Busby, Tom Bush, Jimmy McInnes, Berry Nieuwenhuys, Phil Taylor, Willie Fagan, George Paterson, Herman Van Den Berg.
