Dennis Cooke, the 18-year-old former Bootle secondary schoolboy, makes his first team debut for Liverpool on Saturday, when the Reds visit Crewe Alexandra.
Cooke has been showing fine form with the second eleven. He is 6ft. 1½ins.
Jack Balmer, the English international, who has been out of the game owing to illness, returns to the side.
