Earle’s important Cup tie

Earle play their most important cup tie to date on Saturday (3 p.m.), at Woolton Road, when they meet a strong Liverpool eleven in the Liverpool Challenge Cup.

The Wavertree side is likely to include the former Marine and Liverpool Reserves player Stan White, and a final selection will be made from: – R. Gale, H. Marsh, H. Leyland, D. Brookman, W. Myers, J. Overend, S.A.R. White, E.S. Carter, B. Gallagher, R. Seddon, D. Duncan, D. Breese, M. O’Leary.

Liverpool Reserves. – Syd Lund, Kenneth Seddon, Ted Rafferty, R. Goulding, Dennis Cooke, Bob Paisley, Stan Pickstock, W. Crompton, Cyril Done, George Collister, Sidney Cathrall.
