Willie Cook, Everton’s Irish international back, and Stan Hanson, the Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper, are newcomers to the British Army XI to oppose the Football League at Anfield on Saturday. Cook takes the place of Bert Sproston, of Manchester City, and Hanson, a brother of Alf Hanson, the former Liverpool winger now playing with New Brighton, will play in goal for Reg Allen, of Queens Park Rangers, who has broken an ankle.
