Miss Winifred Bibby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Bibby, Brunswick, Woolton-road, Liverpool, and Mr. Daniel Pettit, the Cambridge Soccer “blue,” son of the late Mr. T. Pettit and of Mrs. Pettit, Falmer, South Mossley, Hill-road, Grassendale, were married today at All Hallows’ Church, Allerton.
The bridegroom is an English international amateur footballer, and played as an amateur for the Liverpool Football Club.
A gown of white embossed cloque cut on medieval lines was worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. Her white tulle veil was held in position by two white doves. Pink roses formed her bouquet.
The bridesmaids were the Misses Joyce A. Bibby and Marjorie Pettit, and Mr. Leonard Dodd was best man.
