Liverpool return to the scene of one of their early season triumphs – Gigg Lane. There, in October, they registered a 3-0 victory over Bury.
They will find Bury a vastly improved side. The Shakers put up a great fight against Preston North End in the Cup before going out by the odd goal.
Liverpool will give runs to several of their youngsters who have been making their “A” team such a force to be reckoned with. If they avoid defeat they will have reason for congratulations.
Dick Dorsett, George Jackson and Turner will be the Reds “guest” stars.
