Liverpool may have three “guest” players for their match against Wrexham at Anfield. Alf Hobson, of Chester, and Dick Dorsett, of the Wolves, are certainties.
Then Mr. George Kay is hoping that Pearson, the Newcastle United outside left, will be able to play. Mr. Kay has received the necessary permission to play Pearson from the United, and is only awaiting final word for the player. If Pearson plays the Kopites are in for a treat, for Pearson is a splendid winger.
Of the pre-war first team there will be Berry Nieuwenhuys, and it is possible that Mr. Kay will get Willie Fagan along for this game.
It falls to young Charlie Fazackerley, who made such a good impression in last week’s trial, to fill the right back position. He should be quite capable of doing that job all right.
Liverpool (from): – Alf Hobson, Charlie Fazackerley, Ray Lambert, Harry Kaye, Dennis Cooke, Eddie Spicer, Billy Liddell, Berry Nieuwenhuys, Cyril Done, Dick Dorsett, Willie Fagan, Tommy Pearson.
