There are 15 names on Manager Mr. George Kay’s Liverpool team sheet at the moment. He is building up his side to oppose Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on Saturday, and there are prospects of a really good side crossing the Mersey.
Len Carney, the amateur inside forward, who is equally as effective at wing half, has moved to an adjacent district, and will be available for this and other games in the near future.
Jack Balmer and Phil Taylor will probably come along from the south, and Mr. Kay expects to have the services of McIntosh, the big Preston North End forward again. Dorsett and Ainsley will be guest forwards.
Bill Whittaker, the amateur international centre-half, will again be on duty, and it is possible that young Charlie Fazackerley will be given another run at wing half if necessity arises.
The certain thing about the side at the moment is that the defence will be composed of Hobson, Guttridge and Lambert.
Liverpool (from): Alf Hobson, Roy Guttridge, Ray Lambert, Phil Taylor, Bill Whittaker, Harry Kaye, Charlie Fazackerley, Len Carney, Billy Liddell, George Ainsley, Dick Dorsett, Jack Balmer, Stan Palk, Jimmy McIntosh.
