Liverpool’s senior interest, in the absence of a first team game to-morrow, is centred in the appearance of four of their players in the Western Command v Football League game at Wolverhampton. Billy Liddell, Willie Fagan, and Fred Haycock appear for the League, and Jack Balmer for the Western Command.
Tom Bush was also chosen, but is unable to play. Billy Cook and Joe Mercer were originally in the side as well, but were released by the Army in view of Everton’s Cup-tie. There is a Liverpool “A” team match at Anfield against Carlton.
