About Harry Race:
“A dapper little fellow from the Evenwood club (Durham). He was but 20 years old when Liverpool discovered him in February, 1928. He got nine goals in 13 games last season (1928-29), and on this record ought never to be out of the side. He’s astute in his dribbling and combination, and is always on the spot when a shot has to be taken.”
