An Essex man, Mr. T.M. Delehunty, writing from Manchester, sends some interesting notes. The first concerns Frank Rist, the Essex cricketer and Charlton footballer, who is now with the RAF. Frank, he tells me, has been in tip-top for Liverpool in the League and Cup; he is a form favourite with the Merseysiders, and has been quoted as a “pillar of strength” in the Liverpool half back line. In summer, Frank plays cricket for Blackpool Services and the RAF.
