Michael Hulligan, Liverpool’s 19-year-old outside left, is joining the Royal Navy in the next few days, and ‘A’ team players will be given their chance by the Reds’ management to fill the vacancy.
Hulligan, who scored 15 goals for Liverpool in League games last season, played in Bootle junior football before signing for the Anfield club.
It is just two years ago since Hulligan and his friend, Jack Campbell, visited the Anfield ground for their fist trial.
