The following players have been invited to play for Wales against England in the first international of the season on the Liverpool F.C. ground on Saturday: –
Cyril Sidlow (Wolverhampton); Wally Barnes (Arsenal), Ray Lambert (Liverpool); Don Dearson (Birmingham), Billy Hughes (Birmingham), Ron Burgess (Tottenham); Ehud Rogers (Swansea), Lee Jones (Arsenal), George Lowrie (Coventry), Billy Lucas (Swindon), Horace Cumner (Arsenal).
The Welsh team shows one change from the side which drew 1-1 with R.A.F. at Wrexham a fortnight ago, Cliff Edwards (West Bromwich) being replaced by Rogers, who appeared for Wales against England at Ninian Park in June, 1941. There are no new caps in the side.
