Liverpool are making an effort to secure the services of Matt Busby, their captain and post-war coach for the return game with Manchester United on Saturday – at Maine Road, where Busby for so long delighted the City fans. Mr. George Kay cannot give any real team news at the moment as there are so many doubts but apart from the absence of Jack Balmer, there should not be much alteration. Jack Pilling is a victim of influenza.
I am pleased to say that Cyril Done, who broke a leg, is making good progress and can now bear his weight on the limb.
