Mr. William McConnell, chairman of Liverpool Football Club, took time out from first team observance to go to Anfield last Saturday to give the Reds’ juniors encouragement, Mr. McConnell saw the Anfield youngsters defeat Fazakerley 5-1, and came away convinced that so far as youngsters are concerned the assets of the club are strong. Two who took the chairman’s eye in particular were Harold Thompson and Kenny Swift, the inside forwards. Thompson I can assure you, is a real star of the future.
Liverpool are not engaged in the Liverpool County Combination on Saturday, but their position is practically unassailable.
