With the choice of A.W. Brown, of Huddersfield, as centre-half for the Royal Air Force Soccer team to meet the FA XI at Coventry on January 20, England selectors will once more have the opportunity to assess his abilities in opposition to George Smith, of Charlton, the FA pivot.
