What of football? Well, while I do not anticipate much change in the Everton team for Saturday’s “derby” with Liverpool at Anfield apart from the return of Tommy Lawton, there will be alterations in the Reds’ side. Neither secretary Mr. Theo Kelly nor Manager Mr. George Kay can make any definite statements at the moment, but Mr. Kay is able to give a list of probables – and an imposing list it is, as you will see from the following: Alf Hobson, Jim Harley, Jack Blood, Jeff Gulliver, Harry Kaye, Laurie Hughes, Jack Pilling, Jack Campbell, Berry Nieuwenhuys, Phil Taylor, Don Welsh, Billy Liddell, Bill Kinghorn.
