Maurice Lindley returns for Everton


Wednesday, February 7 – 1945
Maurice Lindley will be at centre-half for Everton against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday – his first appearance since January 6. Tommy Jones injured his ankle when slipping in the dark on Saturday evening. Lawton’s return for Cec Wyles is the only other change.

Manager Mr. George Kay states that he has received word from Billy Liddell that he will be unable to play for Liverpool.
