Liverpool do not anticipate much change in their team to meet Tranmere Rovers in the North Cup Qualifying Competition at Anfield on Saturday, when the Reds will make a stern bud to secure the points to place them really comfortable in the table. Liddell will again lead the forwards and it is encouraging to think that whenever he has played in that position he has never failed to score two or more goals.
Manager George Kay expects Jim Harley to be fit again, and with Westby and Blood available he is ready for all emergencies.
The Rovers expect to have Abe Rosenthal again, but the fact that Everton may require Cec Wyles may force the Rovers to make a shuffle from the original formation, with Glidden again going centre forward, Williamson to inside left, Kieran to left half and Hornby coming in at left back.
