Manager Mr. George Kay is unable to give any definite indication regarding the Liverpool team to travel to Chesterfield in the return North Cup match on Saturday, but there is a message from Matt Busby. Matt says he will be able to play – if fit. Busby suffered leg injury, but I understand that this not serious and my feeling is that Busby will be there.
Mr. Kay states that Don Welsh has not, as thought, left hospital, and, in fact, is still in the Manchester Royal Infirmary and so will not be able to play. However, other matters are shaping nicely, and my conviction that Liverpool will win remain unshaken.
For the benefit of club supporters who intend journeying to Chesterfield on Saturday, the train leaves Liverpool (Central) at 7 a.m., changing at Manchester and Dore and Totley and arriving at 11.54 a.m.
