Liverpool Football Club have completed arrangement for the acquisition of the Prescot Football Club ground for post-war purposes. A deputation from the Anfield board met the Prescot representatives a few days ago to discuss the details.
The full Liverpool board considered the proposal and the deal was closed so that now Liverpool will have an excellent ground for the development of their junior teams in the future. Before the war Liverpool had working arrangements with the Prescot club, and some of the Anfield youngsters actually played for Prescot, but this latest development is more important than that.
