Liverpool F.C. have received official permission to take a team composed largely of their own Service players, and two of their regular “guest” players, to play the B.L.A. 21st Army Group in two soccer matches in Germany.
The matches will take place on July 28 and July 29, and the following players will travel: Capt. Dirk Kemp, Sgt. Phil Taylor, Sgt. Harry Eastham, P.O. Billy Liddell, Sgt. Jimmy McInnes, C.S. Matt Busby, Sgt. Inst. Jack Westby, Lt. Tom Bush, F.-Sgt. Berry Nieuwenhuys, C.Q.M.S.-Inst. Willie Fagan, Sgt. Jack Balmer, C.S.M.I. Don Welsh (Charlton), and Cpl. Jeff Gulliver (Reading). They will be joined in Germany by Sgt. Bill Jones.
