Liverpool’s practice game

Liverpool F.C. stage their first and only public practice game on Saturday at Anfield (3 pm=, when they mix up the seniors and reserve players, the first team forwards, being opposed to the major proportion of the senior defence. Teams from: –

Reds. – Dick Kemp; Jack Westby, Jeff Gulliver; Harry Kaye, Laurie Hughes, Jimmy McInnes, Eddie Spicer; Jack Campbell, Kevin Baron, Harold Thompson, George Paterson, Billy Bretton, Kenny Swift, Bill Kinghorn.

Whites. – Alf Hobson; Kenneth Seddon, Jack McDonald; Bryan Williams, Tom Hush, Jack Easdale, Jack Pilling; Berry Nieuwenhuys, Phil Taylor, Billy Liddell, Don Welsh, Jack Balmer, Harry Eastham, Horace Cumner.

Liverpool have signed Kenny Swift, 17 year old Fazakarley inside right, on professional forms. He played last season in the A-team.
