Liverpool make three changes for their visit to Huddersfield Town, for Nieuwenhuys has recovered from his thigh injury and returns to outside right, enabling Taylor to go to inside right in place of Kevin Baron. Harley, the Scottish international, after some excellent games with the reserves, following demobilisation, is included in the back division, but the remainder of the team is unchanged.
Bob Priday, the Reds new South African outside left, will make his debut on Saturday, when he plays for the Central League team against Derby County at Anfield. Priday is settling down nicely and keen interest will be taken in his form.
As foreshadowed here, the Christmas Day match at Anfield, between Liverpool and Barnsley, will start at 11a.m., if Barnsley agree.
