Crippled child made honorary life member of Liverpool Football Club

Frederick Greaves, 16, a patient for the past five years at a hospital for crippled children near Liverpool, who has been awarded the Cornwell Badge – the Scout’s V.C. – for his “great courage and endurance.” When Stanley Matthews and other members of the Stoke Football Club visited the hospital recently, Frederick stoutly defended his own team, Liverpool. Now he has been made an honorary life member of the Liverpool Football Club.
