Throwing an overcoat over his Soccer kit the Liverpool captain, Jack Balmer, hurried from Cup-tie training yesterday.
He had just received a message from his wife that their eighteen-month-old son Colin had been scaled.
Manager George Kay drove to his home where they found that Colin had upset a kettle on his arm.
Fortunately the club doctor reported that the scalds were not serious and Jack was told there was no need to worry.
