A cheque for South Liverpool

Thursday, August 28 – 1947
Liverpool F.C. have sent a cheque to South Liverpool in recognition of the service they have had from Stan Palk, who was originally on South’s books, joining Anfield when South Liverpool ceased playing during the war. The Holly Park people are gratified at Liverpool’s generosity, for the cheque was a handsome one.
