Albert Stubbins, Liverpool’s centre-forward, who played for England in the “Victory” international match, to-day re-signed for the club. As he is not yet in training, Done will lead the Liverpool attack at Birmingham to-morrow, but it is expected that Stubbins will play against Middlesbrough in a week’s time.
Stubbins, who refused to re-sign when the team returned from its close-season American tour, traveled to Liverpool yesterday and the matter was settled. He had withheld his signature as he wished to go into business on Tyneside, where he has a house. Stubbins will continue to live there and will train at Gateshead.
