Real Madrid trainer banned

September 13, 1949
The Executive Committee of the Spanish Football Federation has decided to refuse the official license of Mr. Mike Keeping, the former Southampton and Fulham player, as trainer of the Real Madrid Club. They declare he did not follow the conditions laid down.
It is believed that the federation’s attitude is due to the absence of Mr. Keeping from a special course for first and second division trainers which was held in Burgos.
The Real Madrid Club may appeal against the decision. They are understood to be satisfied with the work of the British trainer.
